Here on this page you will se me embarrass myself, as I will tell you some, and maybee more information about myself .

This will start with the customaray aaahhhh! picture.

I was born on the 21st March 1973, and lived in West Hallam (near Ilkeston, Derbyshire) for the ealy years of my life.
In 1975 the family moved Derby bound and from this moment on my life mainly took shape.
School life was dulI and l Ieft school in the year 1989, and it was around that time when my interest in photography took shape. This was mainly due to the fact that there was nothing in my area where I lived. Also around this time I also got a bit bored with most of the music around at the time. This was the time when I came across and purley by accident The Stranglers.
At first I only used a small compact camera (I cannot remember the model now as it was disposed of along time ago), which was a good thing to do as you are not going to spend a lot of money on something you don't use.

Originally my photographs were of scenes and landscapes, I had not thought of trying to combine the music and the photography. You will get some idea of these on the home page of this site.
It was when The Stranglers appeared at the HMV store in Birmingham, in 1995.

That got me into the idea, and you could say that it developed (like the pun?) from there. I would photograph many different gigs and groups when I could from that moment on.

Towards the end of 1997 I went to see a group l had wanted to see for a while and that was No More Heroes, Thy were at the Vic in Derby, which l think is a superb venue (with a superb atmosphere). I will not mention No More Heroes in this section as they have got their own page on this site, and you can see it by clicking below.

From this moment on l could say did did the majority of their photographs, along with that l started to record some of their gigs on film. Along with the projects that came out of it it was good fun.
When the new century came around l was talked into digital, and when you see it there is no looking back in all honesty. The quality is better and it makes it easier for you to see them on this site.

Around the year 2003, I had covered for a few people on some pop quizes at different locations. I do not know why I started do do this, as it was not like anything I had done before. As it came now around to the end of 2003 because I had been satisfied with how it had gone I started to write and perform my own pop quiz at my local (The Old Plough). This lasted until the start of 2005, but around this time somebody who worked there told me about a show they were doing on radio. The radio station was called "DERWENT FM".
When I could tune into this station I did, this was sometimes difficult due to signal strength. During the time it was on air an open day was anounced, I cannot remember the date, but I went down myself to see what it was like. On this visit I was told that if you want a go at performing your own show, I could sign up, which I did.
So from March-ish I was doing the course and prepairing my shows which was going to be broadcast live in September. For information on the shows please look at te Derwent FM page.
